Histone Lysine Demethylase 5B Role in Autism Spectrum Disorder
نویسندگان
چکیده
KDM5B, a histone lysine demethylase “eraser” protein, is transcriptional repressor of active promoter regions on 3 K4. KDM5B crucial to regulating gene expression and development. Previously, all mutations in were described cancer. High-performance sequencing revealed missense, frameshift, nonsense that can be linked developmental disorders like autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This review summarizes KDM5B’s role ASD other disorders.

Histone demethylase lysine demethylase 5B in development and cancer
Histone methylation is one of the most important chromatin posttranslational modifications. It has a range of influences on nuclear functions including epigenetic inheritance, transcriptional regulation and the maintenance of genome integrity. Changes in histone methylation status take part in various physiological and pathological processes. KDM5B (lysine demethylase 5B, also called JARID1B or...
متن کاملComparison of Motor Skills in At-risk with Autism Spectrum Disorder Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Typical Development Children
Background: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex developmental disorder characterized by repetitive and stereotypical patterns, and difficulties with social communication and interaction in early childhood. Motor development and dysfunction in children with ASD has been the subject of study in recent years and has attracted much of the attention of researchers. As motor dysfunctions can ...
متن کاملHistone Acetylome-wide Association Study of Autism Spectrum Disorder
The association of histone modification changes with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has not been systematically examined. We conducted a histone acetylome-wide association study (HAWAS) by performing H3K27ac chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing (ChIP-seq) on 257 postmortem samples from ASD and matched control brains. Despite etiological heterogeneity, ≥68% of syndromic and idiopathic ASD ca...
متن کاملAutism Spectrum Disorder and International Travel
The literature on international travellers with psychiatric disorders is limited. This perspective article highlights various travel-related aspects of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), including its aetiological association with maternal migration, the difficulties faced by long-term travelers with autistic children, and the facilitation of international travel for autistic individuals by the tr...
متن کاملCrystal structure of human histone lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1).
Lysine-specific demethylase 1 (LSD1) was recently identified as the first histone demethylase that specifically demethylates monomethylated and dimethylated histone H3 at K4. It is a component of the CoREST and other corepressor complexes and plays an important role in silencing neuronal-specific genes in nonneuronal cells, but the molecular mechanisms of its action remain unclear. The 2.8-A-re...
